Above the cliff is a yellow birch / great laurel forest. Below the cliff is a highly erodable toeslope with many downed trees. It is much like plot MONF.389.;Exposed limestone cliff with a northeasterly aspect. The cliff has many moist cracks with dense moss cover. The drier areas have low growing shrubs and some calciphiles (Cystopteris, Aquilegia). Many of the moist cracks are located within concave areas of the cliff. The drier areas are on the convex noses.

The plot was placed to sample the limestone cliff. The plot was observed and cover estimated from the cliff base. Cliff is about 5 meters tall.
